Metal Machine Music

I bought Metal Machine Music by Lou reed when it came out in 1975 and I still have it. Throbbing Gristle are often described as the inventors of industrial music, but Lou was there first. For a while I had a record player which had a 16 rpm speed as well as 33 1/3, 45 and 78. Played at 16 rpm MMM (or M cubed as used to call it) sounds more like one of Brian Eno's ambient pieces or one of his collaborations with Robert Fripp.

Enjoy!
